Created in the late 13th century by King Dinis and consolidated in the following centuries by King Afonso IV and King Pedro, this organization required municipalities to provide a fixed number of crossbowmen, specialists in handling the fearsome crossbow.<br \/>\nhe activity includes live demonstrations of the use of bows and crossbows, weapons of great impact on medieval battlefields, and explores the tactics and responsibilities of these highly trained warriors.<br \/>\nAt the end, participants will have the unique opportunity to try handling the weapons under the expert guidance of members of the Military Guild.<\/p>\n<p><strong>May 25, June 22 \u2013 11AM, 2PM, 4PM<\/strong><br \/>\nAges 5+ | No booking | included in the Castle entry ticket<br \/>\nPartner: Of\u00edcio B\u00e9lico<\/p>\n<ul>\n<strong>NOTICE: This is an outdoor activity and may be subject to weather conditions.
