An epilogue of a violent combat, derived from the epic literature of ancient times, and of which several artistic interpretations have remained.<br \/>\nIn Portugal, the martyr became one of the central figures in the religious circle, becoming the patron of the kingdom and its military forces. Lisbon&#8217;s devotion to the saint was evident in the spaces dedicated to him, including the Castle; or in the honours paid to his figure in the city&#8217;s most important procession: the Corpus Christi procession.<br \/>\nHowever, there is much more to discover.
