Where can you buy the ticket? Is it necessary to buy in advance? <\/strong><\/h4><\/div>

The Castelo de S\u00e3o Jorge ticket can be purchased online at www.castelodesaojorge.pt<\/a>. Buying online saves time because it avoids any queues at the Castelo Ticket office, but if you buy discounted typologies online it is important to be aware that it is mandatory to present the proof at the entrance to validate your ticket.<\/p>\n\n\n

The Castelo de S\u00e3o Jorge ticket can also be purchased at the Castelo Ticket Office, on Rua de Santa Cruz, to the right of the Castle entrance. At the Castelo Ticket office, in addition to being able to purchase all types of discounted tickets, you can also buy tickets for the various guided and themed tours, in several languages, and the workshops for the youngest or for the whole family that are available daily.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

If the ticket is not validated at the access control, whether purchased at the ticket office or online, if for reasons of force majeure you cannot make the visit, your money will be returned. If the ticket is purchased at the ticket office, the money will be returned to you immediately, if purchased online, you will have to contact BOL (BilheteiraOnline) so that the return can be made via bank transfer <\/p>\n

Is it possible to book a private guided tour?<\/strong><\/h4><\/div>

It is possible to book guided tours for groups with a minimum of 10 participants, depending on availability. Booking and payment of a 4.5 euro fee must be done in advance. Besides the tour fee, you must still purchase a ticket to the Castle upon your arrival or through our online ticket office. These themed tours can be in English, Portuguese or Spanish. Yes, the Castle has a daily offer of guided tours that are included in the ticket, available in a first-come first-served basis. You must book at the Ticket Office upon your arrival. For further info look at Guided Tours<\/a>.\n

Yes, even if you qualify for free entry, you must always have a ticket to enter the castle. You can purchase the free ticket online and then present proof of free admission at the entrance or pick up the free ticket at the Castelo ticket office.<\/p>\n
