
Birds of Prey at the Castle
Falconry, an ancient art with centuries of tradition in Portugal, is recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. In a historical reenactment of the Middle Ages, Castelo de São Jorge offers visitors the opportunity to explore the history of falconry through an exhibition of artifacts and equipment used by falconers, as well as witness an exciting free-flight demonstration.
