The World turned upside down – Carnival during the Middle Ages
Streamers, confetti, princesses, and superheroes are elements that tend to be part of Carnival nowadays.
But what if it was the Middle Ages, do you know how they celebrated Carnival and what they used as masks? Would there already be confetti and coloured streamers?
Between the 18th and 21st of February, at 3pm, bring your best costume and join us at Castelo de São Jorge to discover more about the history of Carnival and create masks inspired by the traditions of the past.
