Castelo de São Jorge is open 7 days a week, closing only 5 days a year on January 1st, May 1st, and December 24th, 25th and 31st.
Summer Schedule (March 1st to October 31st) is from 9am to 9pm, with last entry at 8:30pm.
Winter Schedule (November 1st to February 28/29th) is from 9am to 6pm, with last entry at 5:30pm.
The Museum and Archaeological Site have the same opening and closing hours as the castle, but in the summer the Museum closes at 8pm.
The Camera Obscura/Periscope is open from 10am to 5pm, with last entry at 4:40pm. Availability is subject to changes and should be checked daily at the ticket office.

Via Rua da Madalena, take the Lift of the Chão do Loureiro Parking Lot (enter through Largo do Caldas and exit on Costa do Castelo), through Costa do Castelo, Rua do Milagre de Santo António, Rua Bartolomeu de Gusmão, Rua do Chão da Feira and Rua de Santa Cruz do Castelo;
or
Via Rua dos Fanqueiros, take the Castelo Lift (enter through Rua dos Fanqueiros n.º 176, exit on Rua da Madalena) and e o Elevador do Parque do Chão do Loureiro (entrada pelo Largo do Caldas e saída na Costa do Castelo), through Costa do Castelo, Rua do Milagre de Santo António, Rua Bartolomeu de Gusmão, Rua do Chão da Feira and Rua de Santa Cruz do Castelo;
